In the heart of the lush island of La Palma, Finca La Manga awaits you—a place where you can experience nature, sustainable agriculture, and pure joie de vivre up close. Almost everything your heart desires grows here: from exotic fruits to fresh vegetables—all 100% organic. We are particularly proud of our nearly 30 varieties of mangoes, each with its own distinctive flavor.
Where History Bears Fruit
Our finca is more than just a farm—it’s a way of life. The finca’s roots date back to the 1940s. In 1994, Rolf ushered in a new era of renewal, during which the finca grew to 1,000 trees thanks to his passion and dedication. Since 2022, I, Benjamin, have had the opportunity to carry on this life’s work. Together with the WWOOFers,
the finca is becoming a space for growth, inspiration, and new purpose.
The Mangos - the centerpiece
The name of our finca says it all. The mango (often affectionately called “manga” in the Canary Islands when referring to the large, seedless varieties) is the heart of our garden. Thanks to the unique microclimate in eastern La Palma, the trees find ideal conditions here.
What makes our mangoes so special:
Pure sunshine: Our fruits are allowed to ripen on the tree until they have developed their full flavor—a difference you can taste from the very first bite.
Variety & flavor: From sugar-sweet to slightly tart notes—our harvest of about 30 different mango varieties offers the full spectrum of this tropical fruit.
Sustainability you can taste
Our fruits grow in harmony with nature—without any artificial additives. We completely avoid chemical fertilizers and pesticides, relying instead on natural farming methods to keep the soil and plants healthy.
Once you take a bite of a freshly picked, sun-kissed mango, you’ll immediately taste the difference.
But for us, sustainability means more than just organic farming: We make sure to work in a way that conserves resources as much as possible, promote biodiversity, and treat nature with respect.
Our Tuesday Market
Every Tuesday, Finca la Manga transforms into a lively hub of interaction. Our small but charming Tuesday market is much more than just a place to buy our mango products. Here, neighbors from the surrounding area meet WWOOFers and guests—and if you look closely, you’ll discover more than meets the eye.
Delicate scents fill the air, giving the market its very own atmosphere. It offers the perfect opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes of the finca. It’s the time for a quick chat or simply to enjoy the special ambiance of this place in peace.
When?
Every Tuesday in the summer from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and in the winter from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
